Built by KME and delivered in November of 2006, Rescue 26 was a great and much needed addition to Lake Meade Fire and Rescue. This 16 foot Walk in box rescue replaced our much smaller Special Unit. Rescue 26 gives water rescue personel a dry and warm place to change and gear up. The Rescue is also set up to act as a command unit, even having a fold up observation platform on top of the Vehicle. The Fold out awning on the officer's side provides protection from the rain or sun for both personel and equipment. Rescue 26 also carries a cascade system allowing us to refill airpacks on fire scenes. In addition Lake Meade Fire and Rescue carries an Amkus tool with spreader and cutter on Rescue 26, along with air bags and many other tools.
